Cook Type: BBQ Grill
1.5 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Wooden or metal skewers
Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, dried thyme, and black pepper to create the marinade.
Step 2: Place the beef cubes in a ziplock bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and gently massage to ensure the beef is well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.
Step 3: Preheat the BBQ grill to medium-high heat.
Step 4: If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.
Step 5: Thread the marinated beef cubes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
Step 6: Place the beef skewers on the preheated grill and cook for approximately 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time to your desired level of doneness.
Step 7: While grilling, brush the remaining marinade onto the beef skewers, turning occasionally to create a glossy glaze.
Step 8: Once the beef is cooked to your preference and has a caramelised glaze, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Step 9: Serve the flavorful grilled balsamic glazed beef skewers as a delightful appetiser or as a main course with your favourite side dishes.
