Aside from a fundamental respect for the wellbeing of the animal, our process reduces the separation, travel and foreign environment stress (ie, processing plant) from the animals life, resulting in better quality and tasting meat.

LOW FOOD MILES
With our process, we can reduce ‘Food Miles’ to an absolute minimum. In fact, a lot of the animals that we process, have lived their whole life on the same property. We believe in ensuring the shortest possible distance travelled from farm to the consumer.

PETIT MEAT
'Petit meat' comes from Dexter cattle and proudly sits under our 'Taranaki Prime' umbrella.
Dexter are characterised by their small size, typically standing only about 1m-1.2m tall at the shoulder, and weighing around 400-500 kgs – hence the name ‘Petit Meat’. Our Petit Meat is tender, flavoursome, high quality meat, with traditional cuts being smaller sizes. Dexter meat is high in Omega 3, 6 & 9.
CLEARVIEW SIMMENTALS
'Clearview Simmentals' comes from Simmental cattle, and also proudly sits under our 'Taranaki Prime' umbrella.
Simmental is a Swiss breed of dual purpose cattle. It is much larger breed than the Dexter cattle, with mature cows reaching up to 850-900kg. The Simmental meat is known for its rich, robust flavour. It is tender, juicy and well-marbled, and has a good balance of fat and lean meat.
